Gather Chestnuts for Appalachian Bear Rescue Cubs – Sept 28, or Oct 1
Fall is when bears enter hyperphagia to build fat reserves for winter, consuming upwards of 10 times their normal caloric intake. Support local cubs in care of the rescue.
It’s important volunteers wear comfortable shoes or boots and thick garden gloves are a must!
The drive is about 50 minutes away. Expect to gather chestnuts for up to 1.5 hours.
This event is open to RBWC Members
