
Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary Tour & Lunch
Tour Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary and have a BBQ lunch at the Warden’s Table!
A former maximum-security prison located just over an hour from Rarity Bay, established in 1896 and operated until 2009, its most notorious prisoner was James Earl Ray, the convicted assassin of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The Penitentiary tour is a 120-minute walking tour through the facility (with some stairs to climb and descend), followed by a BBQ Pork plate lunch at The Warden’s Table.
Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary has a gift shop including T-shirts, prison themed items, and a wide variety of their own Brushy Mountain Distillery moonshine, vodka, whiskey, and liqueurs.
Limited to 66 attendees and open to RBWC members and spouses/partners only.
Each Attendee will need to be registered separately and
reservations will not be guaranteed until payment is received.
