Ladies, find those pearls and grab your beau…the South is gonna rise again with food, fun and fellowship! On the evening of April 29, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, all RBWC members with Southern ties (born, raised, lived, worked, or schooled) are invited to attend a homecoming at the Community Activity Center (CAC.) Some of Grandma’s classic Southern specialties will be served and Grandpa’s wit will be recalled. Y’all come on down (pearls or beau not required) for this shindig! (Sorry, moving to Rarity Bay doesn’t qualify as having Southern roots.)



According to the US Census Bureau, these states are included in the South: Delaware, DC, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and last but not least – Texas. Now, all of us true Southerners know that Southern is “below the Mason Dixon line” and includes Maryland. The US Census Bureau doesn’t understand that – bless their hearts!



This event will be catered by Donna’s Old Time Cafe from Madisonville. This establishment excels in Southern delicacies. The menu will include: Country Ham biscuits with apple butter, cheese grits, red beans and rice, deviled eggs, celery with pimento cheese stuffing, 7-layer salad, banana pudding and pecan tarts, tea, water and strawberry lemonade (perfect for spiking with BYOB!). Is your mouth watering? $25.00 per person will be the cost for this scrumptious regional dinner (tax and gratuity included.)

Please drop off your check at the RBWC mailbox at the clubhouse, 403A Rarity Bay Parkway, Vonore, TN 37885, or at signups at the March or April RBWC general meetings.



NOTE:  For those who don’t meet the criteria for this event, three other events will be held in the spring for the Northeast (April 1), West (May 5) and Midwest (May 20).  Mark your calendar and stay tuned for more information.  Members can attend some or all events if they meet the above criteria.
